Cebu Escapade

it's our 3rd day of having fun fun fun... Cebu escapade, the city
where our love begins?? LOL... celebrating our 3rd anniversary together.
so much memories in this place, 3 years ago close to this date (07-11-2010)
we are just collegues in college, slight friends and offismates...

 

 

at Taoist Temple which is located in Beverly Hills subdivision, Cebu City.
It is the center of worship for Taoism. It was built by cebu's substantial Chinese community. With an elevation of 300 meters above sea level :) 

 

(Leff) Taoist Temple Cebu City (Right) Lapu-Lapu shrine Mactan Island, Cebu. There is a spot in Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan island that's revered by islanders more than any other place. A marker says it was on that site that a man who had sought dominion over the island in the name of the Spanish king had died in the hands of the brave warrior chieftain Lapu-Lapu 485 years ago

 

(Left) Statue of Lapu-Lapu in the background, erected in honor of Datu lapu-Lapu, a muslim king who defeated Spanish soldiers & killed Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in the battle of Mactan in 1521.  (Right) at Magellan's Cross, a christian cross planted by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in cebu city on 1521.. Unfortunately, the one who got our picture on this site didn't capture the whole cross. LOL... but it was a cross on background :)
